Craft Foundation continues investment in Morehead State's Craft Academy
Dr. Joe Craft and the Craft Foundation continue the longstanding commitment to student success at the Craft Academy for Excellence in Science & Mathematics at Morehead State University.
As part of that commitment, Dr. Joe Craft recently visited campus to meet with students and members of the Craft Academy community. During the visit, Craft spent time with current students and welcomed the incoming class of juniors, sharing insights from his career, philanthropy, and dedication to advancing education throughout Kentucky.
The visit offered students a unique opportunity to engage directly with one of Kentucky's most influential business leaders and philanthropists, reinforcing the Craft Foundation's ongoing investment in the Academy's mission and students.
"These interactions are among the most meaningful experiences our students have during their time at Craft Academy," said Aaron Collins, director of the Craft Academy. "Having the opportunity to meet Joe Craft creates a personal connection that leaves a lasting impression. These experiences inspire our students to think bigger about their futures, leadership potential, and the impact they can have on their communities. The opportunity to engage with someone whose vision and generosity helped make this Academy possible has an extraordinary impact on our students."
For many students, the visit reinforced their appreciation for the distinct opportunities available through the Academy.
"Every challenge is an opportunity to become someone you once thought you couldn't be,” said Craft Academy junior Ishan Patel of Williamsburg. “Thanks to Dr. Craft, this opportunity was possible for gifted and talented high school juniors and seniors."
The Craft Academy for Excellence in Science & Mathematics is a college immersion experience for Kentucky students. The academic rigor of the Craft Academy challenges students to excel at their highest level through our STEM+X curriculum and high-impact learning experiences, with emphasis on creativity and design, entrepreneurship and innovation, and civic and regional engagement.
