MSU celebrates 25 Years of Imaging Sciences excellence
Morehead State University is celebrating 25 years of undergraduate imaging sciences education, marking the milestone by recognizing its programs, student experiences and the people who support their success.
The anniversary was recognized during a recent Imaging Sciences Advisory Board meeting, where students shared feedback about the programs’ benefits. Jamie Woolery of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) joined the meeting to participate in the recognition.
"It continues to support healthcare needs," said Jeffery Fannin (Class of 1990), associate professor, radiologic science program director and CTMR interim program director. "I am very proud and honored that these programs have continued a long tradition of success."![]()
Among the students sharing their experiences was Kennedy Havens, a sophomore from Morehead, majoring in the Associate of Applied Science – Radiologic Science program. She received a scholarship through the Healthcare Workforce Investment Fund. Havens expressed deep appreciation to state leaders for the financial assistance and shared a desire to one day give back in recognition of the support received.
Havens’ experience highlighted the personal impact of financial assistance and the role it can play in helping students pursue their educational goals.
CPE President Dr. Aaron Thompson received one of three Honorary Lifetime Imaging Science Advisory Board Member awards presented by Fannin and the Imaging Sciences faculty and staff.
The anniversary provided an opportunity to reflect on a quarter century of undergraduate imaging sciences education at MSU while recognizing the students, faculty, staff and supporters who contribute to the programs.
