What Makes Morehead State’s Program different
Morehead State, Maysville Community and Technical College and Ashland Community and Technical College formed the Northeast Kentucky Consortium for Respiratory Care. The resources of member institutions are combined and made available to students at MSU. General education courses may be taken at any of the member institutions and respiratory care courses will be taken at the Rowan County campus of Maysville Community and Technical College.
Admission to the respiratory care program
The Respiratory Care program has a selective admission procedure separate from the admission procedure for Morehead State. Enrollment in the program is limited. Students seeking admission must apply to the program by Nov. 15 of each year. The program begins in the spring semester each year.
Admission Criteria
- Completion of the following courses with a grade of "C" or better:
- BIOL 234: Human Anatomy
- MATH 135: Math for Technical Students
- FYS 101: First Year Seminar
- COMS 108: Fundamentals of Speech Communication
- ENG 100: Writing I
- Students desiring admission must submit the following application materials by Nov. 15:
- Application for admission to the college/university.
- Respiratory Care Program Admission Application form.
- ACT scores or equivalent.
- Official high school transcript or GED certificate.
- Official transcripts of all post-secondary coursework.
