ABOUT MIRLEN
Hometown: Lexington, KY
Program: Integrated Strategic Communications & Theatre
Class of 2022
Mirlen Hernandez transferred to MSU from BCTC to finish her degree in a place that felt close to home but allowed her space to grow. As a double-major in theatre and integrated strategic communications, she took full advantage of on-campus living, financial support, and the natural beauty of Eagle Lake. She graduated in 2022 with minimal debt and a well-rounded college experience that shaped both her confidence and career goals.
Real Talk:
“I decided to go to MSU because it was close to home but still far enough away to learn and be more independent. Living on campus has provided me with more resources that I wouldn’t have available if I were to live with my parents.”
