Financial Aid
About 95% of MSU undergraduates receive financial aid—loans, grants, scholarships, and other resources that make a Morehead State education more affordable.

Scholarships
Thanks to our donors and alumni, MSU offers a variety of scholarships. The MSU Foundation awarded over 600 scholarships totaling nearly $1 million in 2021-22.
FIND SCHOLARSHIPSNavigating the Financial Aid Process
Financial aid helps students and their families pay for educational expenses. It can be need- or merit-based. It can include loans you pay back, grants or scholarships that don’t require repayment, and even student jobs.
- Applying for financial aid can be confusing, but our team can help every step of the way. Meet our counselors and ask questions or download an aid checklist to review the financial aid process.
- Your first step: Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and have your results sent to Morehead State (FAFSA code 001976). FAFSA results determine whether you qualify for need-based aid.
