Participate in the Parade

Entries must abide by the following rules and regulations:

• No alcohol may be consumed prior to or during the parade procession. Safety is our highest priority and as many of our parade watchers may be young children, we want to ensure we make every effort to keep all MSU fans and parade watchers safe. MSU and specifically the office of Student Activities reserves the right to prohibit anyone that has been consuming alcohol before or during the parade from participating. 
• Candy or materials cannot be thrown from the parade float. Any candy or materials entries wish to give out must be distributed by individuals walking alongside the float. 
• Parade entries are responsible for their themes as well as all members participating in a parade entry. MSU and specifically the office of Student Activities reserves the right to prohibit entries from participating if the theme of the entry is not suitable for all members of families that will be spectators, specifically young children.
• All entries must be in the designated line up assignment location by 5 p.m. on October 22. 
• All entries must be submitted through the online link above. MSU and specifically the office of Student Activities reserves the right to prohibit entries that have not submitted an application for participating in the parade at the time of the parade.

Important information for float entries:

• All float entries must be on a flatbed trailer. No semi-truck beds are permitted.
• All entries must be made from non-flammable materials, such as foil, crepe paper, butcher paper, etc. (we recommend any part of the theme that may be damaged during driving to the parade line-up be completed at the line-up location).
• Candy or materials cannot be thrown from the parade float. Any candy or materials entries wish to give out must be distributed by individuals walking alongside the float. 
• Floats will be judged during the parade with the judges located in front of Sawstone Brewing Co. Winners of the parade will be notified by Thursday, October 29.
• For safety purposes it is mandatory that all floats have a fire extinguisher that is full and easily accessible during the parade.
• All individuals on a float must be stabilized to prevent injury during the parade.
