The Ciceronian 

 

The Ciceronian is an academic journal produced by Morehead State University students. Through the joint sponsorship of the Department of History, Philosophy, Politics, Global Studies and Legal Studies and Morehead State’s Cicero Society, The Ciceronian provides undergraduate students with additional opportunities to publish academic work, build their CV and/or resume and expand their experience and knowledge of the submission, editing and/or publication process.

Submit an article to The Ciceronian

 


This annual juried publication will accept academic work from all of the following subjects:

  • Political philosophy
  • Science and ethics
  • Literature
  • Comparative politics
  • Classics
  • Public law
  • Religion
  • American politics
  • History
  • International relations
  • Methodology
  • Legal research
  • Mathematics proofs

Submission Form and Guidelines

You may submit no more than two academic papers, with neither individual paper exceeding 12 pages. In addition to completing the submission form, you must attach a brief bio, return address, titles and identification of academic pieces. You will be able to attach your writer’s bio and submission pieces to the online form.

REMEMBER:

No names or identifying material should appear in or on the submissions.
Submissions without a writer’s bio and complete information will not be accepted.

DEADLINE:

All submissions are due by Jan. 25, 2020. Any individual is eligible to submit their work for The Ciceronian publishing.

WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR BIO:

Your major at your university if you are a student
Any awards you have won for your academic accomplishments
A brief description of your current academic projects

SAMPLE BIO:

Jane Williams is a native of Morehead, Kentucky. She is a Literature major with a minor in Philosophy at Morehead State University. Her work has been published in The Ciceronian academic journal. Williams is currently working on research that analyzes the lasting impact of European art on American literature. She was recently recognized by Morehead State University with the Outstanding Undergraduate in Literature award.

 By submitting an entry to The Ciceronian, you are granting Morehead State University permission to publish your work in the journal, on our website and in The Ciceronian and/or Department of History, Philosophy, Politics, Global Studies and Legal Studies promotional or publicity materials. Furthermore, it is understood you will not receive any financial compensation for the use of said work in any of the aforementioned scenarios.
