Bio

Dr. Lynn Kell Spradlin serves as the Program Coordinator for the Counseling Program at MSU. Within the Volgenau College of Education she has served as the Adron Doran Distinguished Professor for Educational Leadership.

In that position she in the College of Education, she coordinated a partnership with the Fayette Co. Public Schools and worked with the College of Education Leadership Team to advance the unit’s diversity education goal to prepare culturally competent educators. She currently teaches counselor courses in the Foundational and Graduate Education Department and has served as a high school English, theatre and speech teacher, a school counselor and a licensed professional counselor.

In addition, Dr. Spradlin has published extensively in the field of diversity education including two editions of her textbook, Diversity Matters: Understanding Diversity in Schools. Her many national and regional diversity presentations, consultations and collaboration with school districts and universities across the country widen her perspective and bring relevance and practicality to her work.
