Morehead State Star Theater to host NASA-sponsored event
MSU’s Star Theater will celebrate NASA-sponsored International Observe the Moon Night Saturday, Oct. 17, with astronomy activities, planetarium and laser shows, and opportunities to explore the skies at the Ronald G. Eaglin Space Science Center, 235 Martindale Drive.
Visitors can enjoy back-to-back full-dome presentations of “Cosmic Colors,” “Unseen Universe,” and “Laser Taylor Swift,” along with space exploration videos in the rotunda. Hands-on children’s activities will include rocket races, and solar and telescope viewing will be available, weather permitting.
The event will also feature cosmic-themed quilts displayed by the Rowan County Quilters, live music by Back Room Strings and pizza.
Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children and seniors. Children younger than 3 are admitted for free. Guests purchase tickets and pay by credit card in advance online or purchase admission at the door with cash, credit card or check.
