The planetarium offers public shows on second and fourth Saturdays at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. throughout the year.
A Star Theater show includes a special feature from our extensive program library and a live tour of the night sky under our full dome. Our shows include full-dome planetarium feature movies on various science topics and laser shows.
During the summer, we have two additional activities on the Saturdays of public shows. In June and July, we have hands-on science activities at noon. As weather permits (the sky is clear), we offer opportunities to view the night sky with telescopes at 8:30 p.m. (when it gets dark).
The Star Theater is available by reservation for schools, families, and community groups.
The Star Theater is now recruiting new crew members from the MSU student body to support our activities year-round.
