MSU-UK EARLY ASSURANCE PROGRAM 

If accepted to the EAP program, you'll receive assured admission to the UK College of Medicine upon successful completion of EAP qualifications and eligibility requirements and graduation from MSU with a degree in biology, biomedical sciences or chemistry.

MSU Students may apply to the Early Assurance Program to attend any one of the UK College of Medicine Regional Campuses (Bowling Green, Northern Kentucky, or the Rural Physician Leadership Program in Morehead). Students interested in attending the Lexington campus are encouraged to consider applying through either the early or regular decision program. The total number of seats for each UK campus is Lexington (130), Northern KY (35), Bowling Green (30) and Morehead (16).

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for EAP, applicants must:

• Be currently enrolled at a 4-year higher education institution in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
• Be a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
• Be a current sophomore with graduation expected in 3–4 additional full-time semesters.
• Complete five full-semester science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics) lecture courses (AAMC BCPM classification) by the Fall semester before the application deadline.
• Complete two full-semester courses in critical writing, synthesis, and oral presentation skills.
• Maintain an unweighted cumulative GPA ≥ 3.6 and a science (BCPM) GPA ≥ 3.6.
• Submit transcripts showing grades for the Fall semester of the application year (and Winter term grades if posted before the February 3 deadline).
• Commitment to participate in all EAP activities.
• Applications for the EAP are open in early November and close in February.
