What You’ll learn in the art history minor

Gain knowledge through broad exposure to diverse arts and learn how to effectively write about art and architecture. You will study periods and cultures from regional and global perspectives. Art history minors are frequent participants in department-sponsored field trips to world-class museums, archeological sites, cultural centers and special events.

What You Can Do with an Art history minor

The minor complements various degree programs like history, global studies, foreign languages, literature, theatre, creative writing and communications. It provides an important foundation for planning careers in international relations, arts administration, as museum curators or educators, or pursuing graduate studies.

Admission to the Art history minor Program

All programs in Art & Design are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
