How to Apply for & Accept Scholarships
MSU offers a variety of scholarships based on several criteria, including academic excellence, area of study, what type of student you are, where you live, and your need.
Automatic Consideration
Morehead State’s merit-based, institutional scholarships encourage the best and the brightest to become Eagles. You’re automatically considered for Eagle Assurance, in-state, out-of-state, or transfer scholarships based on your application for admission.
We don’t require ACT or SAT scores for admission, but we do use them in determining scholarship eligibility. Other scholarship factors include high-school GPA and—for transfer students—college GPA and transcript.
MSU Foundation Scholarships
The Morehead State University Foundation offers nearly 400 scholarship opportunities that have been made possible thanks to generous alumni and donors who care deeply about Morehead State University and its students.
Additional Scholarships
We also keep a list of key external scholarship opportunities. These scholarships are not administered or associated with MSU, and we review them to be sure they are legitimate and valid opportunities.
