📍Ohio Reciprocity Program

Morehead State University’s Regional Tuition Advantage Program provides in-state tuition rates for students from select Ohio reciprocity counties! In addition to in-state tuition, these students from select counties also qualify for in-state merit scholarships for academic performance. 

This information applies to new students for the 2027-28 school year.

Each year, Morehead State awards more than $57M in University and MSU Foundation scholarships and grants. MSU offers a variety of scholarships based on several criteria, including academic excellence, area of study, type of student, where you live, and your needs. 97% of students are eligible for some sort of financial aid!

The Regional Tuition Advantage, a reciprocity-based program, offers students access to amazing scholarship opportunities and in-state tuition rates.

🎓 Specialized incoming student scholarships

The Alumni Family Scholarship Program was created to support relatives of Morehead State University Alumni. The scholarship symbolizes the University’s commitment to the alumni community and carrying on a tradition of student support. The Alumni Family Scholarship assists as many full-time undergraduate students as possible.

Due to limited funds, not all students applying for the award may receive it. The application opens annually in January, and students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline of March 15. Final application deadline is June 30, or as long as funding is available.

These scholarships require a separate application and have an early deadline - December 1.

^ Separate application process required.

Students must reside on campus for eight semesters to retain their scholarship award.

Notes: Scholarships require on-campus housing for a minimum of 4 semesters. A 50% reduction in scholarship if the housing requirement is not met. Unweighted high school GPA is utilized for all scholarships. Students must be enrolled full-time at MSU to receive scholarships.

All awards are contingent upon the availability of funding and may be subject to change.

Only composite ACT scores are accepted for scholarship consideration. Superscore ACT results are not accepted.

 

🦅 MSU Foundation Scholarships

Thanks to the generous support of alumni and donors, the MSU Foundation provides over 400 scholarship opportunities annually. The application opens annually in January, and students are encouraged to apply by the priority deadline of March 15. Application deadlines vary by scholarship opportunity; the final application deadline is June 15.
