*While registration for the complimentary Alumni and Friends events on Friday and Saturday is not required, it helps our team plan accordingly and ensure adequate catering for all attendees.

If you plan to attend any Homecoming events throughout the weekend, please let us know by your coming.

Tuesday, October 20

Campus Pep Rally

University Boulevard/Bell Tower | Noon

MSU Faculty, Staff and Students are encouraged to gather along the boulevard to get in the Eagle spirit with performances from the MSU Marching Band, MSU Cheer and Dance teams!

Wednesday, October 21

The 137 Concert

Johnson Arena | 6:30 p.m.

The concert will feature country music standout Chase Matthew as the main performer along with rising artist Tyra Madison as the additional opener.

MSU Trivia Night

Battson Oates Entertainment District | 7 p.m.

Head out to Sawstone Brewing for an MSU themed team trivia Wednesday night! It's free to play, it's fun to play and the top two teams win cash prizes!  

Thursday, October 22

Morehead-Rowan County Chamber Luncheon

ADUC Luckey Ballrooms A and B | 12 – 1 p.m.

Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce members are encouraged to attend the October luncheon at the Adron Doran University Center sponsored by Morehead State University. University President, Dr. Jay Morgan, will serve as the keynote speaker with a MSU campus update.

Attendees will also enjoy a pep rally with MSU Cheer and Dance teams to conclude the luncheon.

Morehead State University Homecoming Parade

Main Street Morehead | 6 p.m.

Take part in a long-standing MSU Homecoming tradition! Bring the whole family to enjoy floats, balloons and the MSU band! A variety of exciting entries from campus and community organizations are sure to bring excitement to kick-off homecoming weekend!

Eagle Pep Rally

ADUC Prefontaine Pub | Immediately following parade

Current MSU students are invited to get in the Eagle Spirit! Join us for giveaways, drinks, music, pictures with Beaker and a short pep rally with MSU Cheer and Dance teams. Alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase for those 21 or over and with a valid ID.

The 2026 Homecoming Court candidates will also be introduced. 

Friday, October 23

Blue & Gold Morning Brew at the Bell Tower

Campus Bell Tower | 9 – 10 a.m. 

Join fellow Morehead State faculty and staff for a morning gathering at the Bell Tower. Enjoy coffee, conversation, and the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across campus in one of MSU's most iconic spaces!

Memorial Brick Ceremony

Memorial Plaza, Little Bell Tower | 10 a.m.

Join the Morehead State community to honor the years of faithful service given by deceased faculty and staff. Former faculty and staff who passed away during the last year will be recognized.

Residence Hall Groundbreaking Ceremony

Former Butler Hall Site | 1 p.m.

Join MSU President, Dr. Jay Morgan, Student Government Association (SGA) President, Molly Boyd, and other campus leaders for a special groundbreaking ceremony.

This new residence hall will be approximately 40,000 square foot and is going to include 80+ beds. This residence hall will open in 2028-29.

Homecoming Kickoff Reception Celebration

Open-Air Space and Luckey Ballroom C, Third Floor ADUC | 5 – 7 p.m.

Join the MSU Alumni Association for an exciting atmosphere featuring food, drinks and door prizes! Reconnect with old friends and meet new ones at this fun-filled event.

Homecoming Alumni Awards Ceremony

Luckey Ballrooms A & B, Third Floor ADUC | 7 p.m.

Join the MSU Alumni Association for a special awards presentation as we honor the 2026 recipient of the Founders Award for University Service and the 2026 Alumni Award honorees.

Alumni recognition is spread among four categories — Alumni Hall of Fame, Notable Alumni, Rising Eagle and Eagle Spirit.

Saturday, October 24

Homecoming Tailgate Lot Opens

Eagle Rally Zone, Simms Stadium/AAC Parking Lot | 10 a.m.

Tailgating is a must during the Homecoming celebration! Make plans to set up a spread or just pass through and mingle through the crowd of Eagles! Homecoming tailgate spots will be available for purchase soon.

Alumni Association Tailgate 

Academic Athletic Center (AAC) East Lobby | 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

FREE FOOD and DRINKS! Stop by and meet other MSU Alumni, register for door prizes and pick up the latest MSU Alumni swag! Attendees will also be able to view the tailgate action from the patio or take a break inside the AAC East Lobby.

Eagle Walk

Eagle Rally Zone/Tailgate Area | 1:10 p.m.

Eagle fans get ready to cheer! The MSU Marching Band along with the MSU Cheerleaders will pep everyone up for the big Homecoming game! The game day tradition is sure to be a performance you don’t want to miss. Pack up your gear and follow the spirit into Phil Simms Stadium for the game!

Eagle Football Game

Phil Simms Stadium | 2 p.m.

Fill the stands at Simms Stadium and cheer on the MSU Eagles as they take on Stetson in this year's Homecoming game! As traditions stand, the presentation of the 2026 Homecoming Court will be announced and the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned during halftime.
