- MSU has two bicycle fix-it stations and various bicycle racks throughout campus.
- MSU Facilities continues to replace older fleet vehicles with new campus buses and fleet vehicles that are more energy and fuel-efficient.
- MSU Facilities utilizes several smaller utility vehicles for maintenance activities, resulting in reduced fuel and energy usage.
- MSU Facilities operates a free shuttle van service on campus.
- MSU Facilities utilizes garbage compactors to minimize the number of garbage truck trips to the landfill.
- MSU Housing coordinates Move-In Day to reduce long lines and idling cars.
- Many MSU departments utilize golf carts for transportation on campus.
