Chris McClurg, MBA, FACHE, FHFMA
Mr. Chris McClurg is the Chief Financial Officer at UK St. Claire in Morehead.
He is an experienced healthcare finance executive with over 26 years of increasing leadership roles, mainly focused on enhancing the financial stability of rural health systems. He is a native of Morehead, Kentucky, and a two-time graduate of Morehead State University (BBA ’97, MBA ’01).
In this role, McClurg oversees financial strategy, system integration, and operational transformation initiatives, aligning financial performance with patient-centered care. His expertise includes strategic planning, budgeting, and financial operations across rural and urban healthcare settings.
McClurg is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA). He contributes to state-level healthcare policy through his service on the Kentucky Medicaid Technical Advisory Committee. He has held board positions with the Kentucky Primary Care Association and the Kentucky Chapter of HFMA.
He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Administration degree at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), demonstrating his dedication to lifelong learning and his commitment to improving rural healthcare through sustainable finance, workforce development, and community-focused strategies.
His term ends in 2031.
