What you'll learn in the Equine Science program
You'll learn about the many facets of the equine industry, from animal care to breeding. You'll get hands-on experience with live horses at our 325-acre farm, the Derrickson Agricultural Complex. You can even board your own horses at the farm or choose to work with horses from MSU's stable.

A degree in Equine Science prepares you for many different careers in the equine industry, such as stable manager, show manager, camp manager, riding instructor, equestrian team coach, farm manager, equine trainer, horse judging, sales, and roles with government agencies.
