Test Day Procedures & parking

General

  • Examinees should report to the Testing Center (501A Ginger Hall) at least 15 minutes before their scheduled test time. PRAXIS/GRE/TOEFL examinees should report to GH 302 at least 30 minutes before the scheduled test time.
  • PARKING - Examinees are encouraged to contact the MSU Police Department (606-783-2220 or 606-783-2035) for exact parking instructions and to inquire about temporary or guest parking passes. Due to the early test report time, PRAXIS examinees are encouraged to do this several days before their scheduled test date. You will not be permitted to test if you arrive at the Testing Center after your scheduled testing time. Do NOT park in reserved (numbered) parking spaces.
  • Examinees are required to provide appropriate identification for ALL tests administered by the Testing Center.

 Prohibited Items

  • Cell phones
  • Electronic devices, including:
    - Smart watches
    - Digital or analog watches
    - Cameras
    - Flashdrives
    - MP3 players/iPods, portable stereos, radios, headphones
    - Other electronic devices
  • Food and drinks

  • Jackets
  • Backpacks
  • Purses
  • Watches

PRAXIS

• Tests are scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m., and ETS recommends examinees arrive 30 minutes prior to test time.
• Examinees should report to GH302 where Praxis tests are administered.
• Examinees MUST have valid government-issued identification. An MSU EagleCard alone is not sufficient identification for this test.
• Due to the early test report time, PRAXIS examinees are encouraged to contact the MSU Police Department (606-783-2220 or 606-783-2035) for exact parking instructions and to inquire about temporary or guest parking passes several days before their scheduled test date. You will not be permitted to test if you arrive at the Testing Center after your scheduled testing time. Do NOT park in reserved (numbered) parking spaces.
• Examinees will be required to store all personal belongings except for their identification and engagement and wedding rings. All other jewelry is prohibited. Small lockers are available on site, but examinees may wish to leave personal belongings at home or in their vehicle.

 ACT

  • Examinees must present a current picture ID (driver's license or school ID).
  • Examinees taking the On-Campus ACT will make payment on their test date. National examinees (Saturday test date) will pay fees to ACT before the test date.

 CLEP

  • Examinees are required to present government-issued identification with a photograph and signature.
  • Examinees will be registered for CLEP with their credit cards.
  • The MSU Testing Center fee is payable by check or cash.

GRE and TOEFL

• Tests are scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m., and ETS recommends examinees arrive 30 minutes prior to test time.
• Examinees should report to GH302 where GRE and TOEFL tests are administered.
• GRE examinees MUST have valid government-issued identification. (An MSU EagleCard alone is not sufficient identification for this test.) TOEFL examinees who are not U.S. citizens but are testing in the U.S. must present a valid passport with name, photograph and signature.
