Resources
MSU offers numerous ways to help you pursue your educational goals.
Student-veterans participate in early registration (two days before Advance Registration).
Your enrollment counselor will work with the Office of the Registrar and your academic department to provide you with appropriate credit for your military training and service.
Morehead State University is a Service Members Opportunity College. Students are awarded credit for basic training and other military courses taken.
Visit Joint Services Transcript to order your non-USAF military transcript. There is no fee for these transcripts. Credit for military service is not evaluated and posted to your record until you have officially matriculated at the University.
Air Force CCAF Transcript requests are accepted by mail only; for more information, contact registrar.ccaf@maxwell.af.mil (1-334-953-2794).
No academic penalty upon deployment with proper documentation: If you are deployed or must perform service–related duties that take you away from the classroom, you will incur no academic or financial penalty.
The Veterans Resource Center is a study lounge and resource center for veterans provided to current students. It is a great place to relax, meet with friends, research assignments, print reports and find information about veterans' benefits. The center is located at 206 ADUC.
MSU is a Defense Activity of Nontraditional Education Support (DANTES) affiliate. That means MSU delivers classes anywhere in the world online.
MSU Eagle Vets is a student organization for veteran students and MSU hosts a chapter of the Student Veterans of America (SVA). You will find a strong sense of veteran camaraderie at MSU. Organizations like the Eagle Vets encourage student veterans and their families to get involved on campus and will help you feel a sense of community at MSU. Email Jeremy Glover at jglover@moreheadstate.edu if you are interested in joining.
The Morehead State University Counseling & Health Services clinic counselors have been trained to assist our student veterans with service-related counseling and health needs in a safe and confidential environment. Additionally, the Morehead VA clinic is less than three miles from Morehead State's campus.
MSU's Office of Disability Services can assist with academic and housing accommodations.
