Advising & Tutoring

MSU is committed to academic success for its students by providing them with personalized support.

MSU academic advising is a crucial part of helping students succeed. As a student, you are assigned an academic advisor to provide guidance in your major, as well as career planning and placement. Additionally, MSU has professional advising staff in each college to help you navigate your degree plan, course scheduling and other questions you may have.

If you are experiencing challenges in specific courses, you can get free and convenient assistance through our Tutoring & Learning Center. Whether it's one-on-one appointments, study groups, online or just dropping in to talk to one of our knowledgeable tutors, it is a flexible way to improve your academic performance and meet your goals.
