Graduating this semester?

Students planning to complete their degree this spring must apply for graduation. The graduation application is now available in Self-Service under “Graduation Overview.”

The application fee is required at the time of submission. The deadline for applying without penalty is Friday, March 13, 2026.

AUTHORIZED USERS – NEW!

Students may now designate an authorized user in Self-Service to grant them access to grades, financial aid, student finance, student notifications, and tax information. Visit “Authorized Users Information” for instructions.

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION – IMPORTANT!

Attendance for financial aid purposes is taken during the first week of each summer term and the first two weeks of the fall term. Faculty are required to submit the names of all students who do not attend or participate during this timeframe. If you are marked as not attending, your schedule may be dropped. If your schedule is dropped, you will be notified via MSU email. This email will provide reinstatement instructions, along with the last day you can be reinstated into your classes.

HOW TO WITHDRAW FROM ALL CLASSES

To officially withdraw from the University, a student must complete one of the following steps:

1. Email the withdrawal request to registrar@moreheadstate.edu from your MSU email account. The request must include your MSU ID number and the term from which you wish to withdraw; or
2. Complete a withdrawal form through the Office of the Registrar. The completed form must be sent from your MSU email account to registrar@moreheadstate.edu or mailed to the Office of the Registrar, 201 Ginger Hall, Morehead, KY 40351.

Refund deadlines are available on the Academic Calendars page under the Refund Schedule. Questions regarding refunds should be directed to Accounting & Financial Services at 606-783-2019 or billing@moreheadstate.edu.

All withdrawal requests must be received by 11:59 p.m. or postmarked by the final withdrawal deadline published in the University’s academic calendar. Students who withdraw after the published last day to add will receive “W” grades on their transcripts.
