Veterinary Technology Renovations

MSU is updating veterinary technology facilities at the Derrickson Agricultural Complex. The building is being expanded to include new facilities and improve the laboratory and classroom spaces for students.

In November, MSU's Board approved the naming of the Dr. Phil Prater Equine Health and Education Center, which includes veterinary technology facilities.

In February 2026, MSU cut the ribbon on the renovated and expanded Vet Tech Building and dedicated the Prater Equine Health Center.

Vet Tech Facilities

Renovated and expanded in 2026, this facility has classrooms, lab spaces and exam rooms for students studying veterinary medicince. Our classrooms in the Vet Tech Center offer students a place to learn from veterinarians and animal care professionals.
